We are so excited to announce registration for the 2023 Santa Barbara Triathlon & Multisport Festival is OPEN! Our 2022 event saw the introduction of a uniquely formatted one-mile swim, as well as a standalone 5k run. These events will be back in 2023, and will join our diverse roster of short and long course triathlon, our women only triathlon, parent – child triathlon, Aquabike and duathlon.
As we expand our festival, 2023 may also see the addition of some surprise beach activities for spectators and families!
All of these events will be brought to you on ONE day, Saturday, August 26, 2023. As the post-pandemic world continues to evolve and market forces adjust, we want to ensure our participants an exciting, vibrant and safe event. We believe combining our two day format into one will achieve this while also leaving us room to grow into the future.
A word about pricing. Prices for the event are set based on our projection of total athletes that will attend and the costs to produce the event. For 2023, we anticipate our production costs to continue to increase over 2022. We believe we have set fair pricing for the event based on our projections. Our 2023 pricing model does accommodate an “early bird” discount. Athletes registering in the next 4 weeks will receive a 20% reduction in your entry fees. We hope many of you will take advantage of this discount as it will not be offered later in the spring and summer.
We also strongly encourage all athletes to take advantage of the entry fee protection offered during registration. There is always uncertainty when planning ahead and anything can happen prior to event day. In case you become ill or injured and are unable to participate in the event, you’ll want to insure your entry fee as the Santa Barbara Triathlon does not offer refunds or entry transfers.
We are thrilled to bring you the 2023 Santa Barbara Triathlon& Multisport Festival and can’t wait to watch you all do what you love, in one of the most beautiful locations you can find. Train safe and see you all back on the beach August 26, 2023!
